Most “natural” hair dyes still lean on synthetic pigments. Ours doesn’t. This is 100% organic henna powder — one plant, ground to a powder, certified organic and sourced from a Fair Trade certified supplier. The colour comes from lawsone, a pigment in the henna leaf that bonds with the keratin in your hair, so it grows out rather than washing out.
Pure henna gives red-orange tones: rich red highlights on dark hair, a strong copper on greys. There’s no such thing as pure blonde or brown henna — deeper browns and blacks come from combining henna with indigo, which we also stock.

Yes — the only ingredient is Lawsonia inermis, the henna leaf, ground to a powder and certified organic. No PPD, no ammonia, no peroxide, no metallic salts, no synthetic dyes.
Yes. Henna colours grey hair a coppery red-orange, and because each application coats over the last, repeat use deepens and enriches the tone.
Mix the powder with an acidic liquid, let it rest for at least 6 hours so the pigment releases, then apply evenly and rinse. Our blog guides on mixing ratios walk through it step by step.
Henna is long-lasting — it bonds with the hair rather than sitting on top, so it doesn’t fade or wash out the way surface dyes do. It grows out with your hair.
