Natural Food Ingredients > Natural Colours
Natural colours are sourced from plants and
are made from natural botanical ingredients such as capsicum (red) and
spinach (green), by removing all the non-colour components from an
extract of the botanical herb. For example, to obtain natural red colour
from capsicum, the pungency is removed from an extract of capsicum.
The intensity of the colour in natural colours is measured using a couple of
different scales. We provide in a unit called colour unit. Natural Colours
are either oil (O/s) or water (W/s) soluble.
Natural colours will not behave exactly like their synthetic counterparts.
For example, the colours are not as stable and as vivid as synthetic
colours. The consumer market has accepted these limitations as the
benefits of using natural colours to human health far outweighs any
esthetic downsides.
Our natural colours are food grade. They are manufactured in premises
which are HACCP, ISO and GMP certified.
