Purported health benefits of spices

Spices have traditionally been used as natural remedies. It is now purported that the health benefits of spices are more than just remedial as they have a range of phytochemicals (plant chemicals) that may help prevent disease.

Organic Bay Leaves contains enzymes which help to break down proteins, making it a great spice for meat dishes. Bay leave assists with digestive disorders and reduces flatulence.

Organic Pepper: Black peppercorns are made by picking the pepper berries when they are half ripe and just before they turn red. They are then left to dry which causes them to shrivel and become dark in color. Green peppercorns are picked while still unripe and green in color, and then air dryed.
