Our organic ingredients
We offer two broad categories of organic ingredients - organic spices and organic haircare. The organic spices cover the range of pepper, chilli, cardamon etc. and is available in whole or powdered form. We
offer these spices in retail packs (30g) , mid packs (250g) and bulk packs. Our price list for the organic spices for retailers and wholesalers can be obtained by contacting us.
Organic haircare covers ingredients that is beneficial for the scalp and hair and includes natural dyes, cleansers and conditioners such as henna, amla, soapnut etc. These organic haircare products are offered
in 250g packs or bulk packs and is only available in a powdered form for ease of application. A retailer or wholesaler price list can be obtained by contacting us.

Wildcraft Ingredients
Wildcraft ingredients in Nature Shop's context are ingredients that are harvested from plants that grow in the wild i.e are not cultivated. In some countries, organic certification is not economically viable as its too expensive for the average farmer. In such situations, Nature Shop works with a local NGO to try and source wildcrafted ingredients as they are the next best option to organics. At present, Baobab, Marula Carrier Oils and Kigelia Extract fall in this category. On request, we can provide documents from the NGO on the methods used locally to obtain these ingredients.
Organic Extracts
Organic extracts is manufactured using organic products in a plant/facility that is also organically certified for production. The process can be very expensive
as the extraction methods used must be organic. Classification of an extract as organic or
otherwise is not uniform across all countries, for example, in some markets an
extract that is 80 - 90% organic will be deemed to be organic. At present the market for inorganic extracts far exceeds that
of organic extracts which is the main reason
why these extracts is difficult to source and additionally very expensive. Nature Shop will gradually offer organic extracts.
Benefits of a diet rich in organic spices
Nature Shop is of the opinion that a diet rich in spices is beneficial to health. Using spices could be as simple as
including a pinch of turmeric powder while cooking rice (in a rice cooker or otherwise) - it adds flavour and colour without
overpowering the dish. We devote this section to articles from the Internet that provide information on the benefits
of organic spices in culinary dishes. We leave you to decide on the merits of each article and should you like to share your views with the wider community,
